SCP Europe is a subsidiary of the Poolcorp group,
world leader in the distribution of pool and
outdoor equipment.

Poolcorp has 440 distribution centers in North America, Europe and Australia. The company serves around 125,000 customers in four main markets: pool renovators and builders, specialty stores, pool and spa maintenance companies, and the irrigation and landscaping markets. In Europe, the SCP Europe subsidiary comprises 21 distribution agencies in 10 European countries.

Context and needs
In France, the Graphic Arts Division publishes a dozen catalogs adapted to customer segmentation, as well as a technical catalog containing over 20,000 part numbers. These catalogs feature products that require frequent updating, as well as reliable access to product information. Previously, each country worked on its own catalogs, so it became necessary to pool these graphic productions. To accelerate time-to-market and guarantee centralized, consistent product information, SCP chose to adopt a data publishing solution that would automate and simplify catalog production, while responding to local specificities in terms of language and currency.

Choice of solution and Activo's role
To meet these needs, SCP selected EasyCatalog, a solution that facilitates the integration of Excel files and enables advanced automation of complex publications while homogenizing them. Its rapid deployment and user-friendly interface enabled the marketing team to get to grips with the tool autonomously. Activo supported SCP throughout the project, from user training through to strategic implementation, ensuring the optimized use of EasyCatalog. Specific features and benefits
EasyCatalog has transformed SCP's graphics production, automating repetitive tasks and ensuring smoother data management. Among the key functionalities implemented:
- Automation of product catalogs and data sheets for 3.000 finished products, enabling rapid updates and simplified management,
- Automation of technical data sheets for more than 20.000 spare parts references, facilitating production and reducing the risk of errors, and available in 7 languages,
- Catalogs adapted to the specificities of local markets,
- Reuse of data for various customized promotional supports
- This extremely successful experience has enabled the approach to be developed within the European group.
Today, in year N+2 of the deployment, 5 of the 9 catalogs are fully or partially managed with EasyCatalog, with a transfer of skills from external in-house graphic designers to EasyCatalog users, and a consequent reduction in costs and improved data security. Data integration via Excel files ensures a smooth transition without the need for customized scripts. EasyCatalog also enhances the efficiency of graphics production: products can be added or deleted, and prices updated quickly and reliably, ensuring that customer expectations are met in real time.

Benefits and impact of the solution
Today, three main users make use of EasyCatalog on a daily basis. Productivity gains are significant, thanks to:
- The ability to quickly propose graphic media variants (product sheets, promotional booklets, themed catalogs),
- More time for graphic and marketing reflection on the document, rather than repetitive and cumbersome execution,
- Increased customer satisfaction thanks to reliable, more legible and rapidly updated product data.

Perspectives
In the coming years, the aim is to integrate EasyCatalog with a PIM, reinforcing SCP's digital ecosystem and enabling more centralized and scalable management. Activo, with its specialist skills, continues to support SCP, ensuring the ongoing optimization of the solution and accompanying these future projects to maintain the high level of service and ever-increasing efficiency expected by the market.
